Hi, I'm Gordon and I have a wide range of skills in terms of road safety built over many years. Coaching learners to be the best they can be is my main job, and I do fleet training and I am a RoSPA examiner. I am also a member of the Institute of Master Tutors of Driving.
What is the best thing about being a training manager?
Knowing that, through quality coaching and support, I can help people develop the skills and confidence they need to potentially save a life. Knowing that my training could make a real difference to someone, and ultimately to the people they help, is what makes my job so rewarding.
What is the best advice you could give your learners?
Think about what you want to achieve and seek out the right people to guide you.
What do you like to do when you're not working?
When there is some time to relax I enjoy some golf, but I don't use my phone while driving of course!
One interesting fact about you...
My first driving test was in a 60 ton Chieftain tank at age 17.
